The roomer in early 2014 that actor Akshay Kumar and director Prabhu Deva would be reuniting for another film after their previous blockbuster, Rowdy Rathore. But soon after, it was confirmed that the film is titled ‘Singh Is Bling’ and the film is produced by Grazing Goat Pictures. A tentative release date of 31 July 2015 was included, only to be later changed to 2 October 2015.

After Akshay Kumar was confirmed signed as the leading star in the movie, actress Kriti Sanon was signed on for the female lead. After training for the role, actress eventually quit the role and opted out for the film, and was then replaced by actress Amy Jackson. In March 2015, it was revealed that Lara Dutta is hoping to make a comeback to films with Singh Is Bling. In May 2015 Bipasha Basu played the role of Mrs. Singh in the cast.

Singh is Bling movie story:

The story of Singh is Bling is revolved around the leading actor Raftaar Singh (Akshay Kumar) who is the apple of his mother’s (Rati Agnihotri) eye, is also the biggest irritant for his father (Yograj Singh). Mr. Raftaar Singh is always looking to have fun and runs away from responsibility. This displeases his father to no end. One day, fed up of his dalliances, his father orders Raftaar to go to Goa and work for his friend there, and learn to take on responsibility.

With respecting of his father’s wishes, Raftaar leaves and reach to Goa. Once in Goa, he impresses his new boss with his enthusiasm and out of the box thinking. Soon Raftaar gets an important assignment from his boss which gets him to meet Sara (Amy Jackson) and thus begins their lovely and unique love story.

Raftaar is joined in this unique romance by the loveable Emily (Lara Dutta) who almost ruins their budding love. What ensues is a great comedy of errors, as one hilarious situation after another unfolds. Raftaar slowly begins to fall head over heels for this exotic, mysterious girl.

What starts as a harmless romance takes a deadly turn when he realizes that Sara is not who he thinks she is and is here with an agenda which takes him to Romania. The question is, will a village simpleton, who can’t even communicate properly, be able to win her over in a distant and dangerous land.
