The Martian is an upcoming American action, adventures and science-fiction film of the year 2015. The film is directed by Ridley Scott. The screenplay of the film is written by Drew Goddard is based on the 2011 novel “The Martian” by Andy Weir. The film stars Matt Damon in the central role of the movie, with Jessica Chastain, Michael Peña, Kristen Wiig, Jeff Daniels and Kate Mara in supporting roles. The Martian will be mark Ridley Scott’s fourth science-fiction film after Alien (1979), Blade Runner (1982), and Prometheus (2012). The film is scheduled to be released on October 2, 2015 in 3D and 2D globally.

The Martian movie preview:

Reportedly, 20th Century Fox optioned the film rights in March, 2013 and Drew Goddard ready to screenwriting and direct the film. In September 2014 month team of Martine announced the complete cast of the film.

The filming of the movie began on November 10, 2014 in Budapest. The location used in the film has been previously used for Martian landscapes for scenes set on the planet, such as in the films Red Planet and The Last Days on Mars.

The Martian movie story:

During a manned mission to Mars, astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew evacuates the planet and begins to head back to Earth. But Watney finds himself stranded alone and has survived on the hostile planet with only meager supplies. He must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive.

According to the team of the film “The Martian” is scheduled for release on October 2, 2015. Initially it was originally scheduled for release on November 25, 2015. On June 10, 2015, it was announced that Fox would move the film up to an October 2, 2015 release, trading places with Victor Frankenstein.
